The Sorbies owe their name to their sudden disappearance in the mouth. The makers felt that "Remarkably sour, fast-absorbing fruit candies" were too long, so they were simply shortened to Sorbies.
Ingredients
Sugar, glucose-fructose syrup, modified corn starch, water, acidity regulators (malic acid, sodium citrate), flavourings, coloring agents (black carrot concentrate, E150d).
